Belait
The Belait District is the largest and westernmost district of Brunei Darussalam, with an area of 2,727km². It is the second most populous district in this country. The population is approx. 75,000. Oil and Gas was first discovered in this district. It is the heart of Brunei’s Oil and Gas Industry. A lot of the district is undisturbed wilderness, and quite a number of tribes can be found living in the midst of the forest. The two largest towns are Kuala Belait and Seria Town.
